Some ConcernsReviewed June 2026
1Moderate Concern
1Minor Flag

This video is safe for most kids despite moderate sponsored content woven into the cooking segments. It creatively combines gourmet cooking with animal education, showcasing a wide variety of species and their dietary needs in an engaging, family-friendly format. The only concern is the repeated promotion of the creator's seasoning brand, which may feel like advertising to some viewers.

Content Breakdown · 2 Categories

Hidden Advertising & Sponsored ContentSome

The creator heavily promotes his own product line 'Osmo' seasonings, including specific calls to purchase at Walmart and on the website, without clear disclosure that this is an advertisement. While self-promotion of one's own brand is common, the lack of a clear 'ad' or 'sponsored' label and the integrated nature of the promotion (framed as organic content) raises concerns.

I'll season these up with my Osmo Signature Steak seasoning. They're the best seasonings in the world...
And you can find all of them on our website or at your local Walmart. So if you haven't tried them yet, make sure to go get some Osmo.

Engagement Baiting & Manipulative CTAsA little

The creator uses a standard but mildly manipulative call-to-action: 'I just want to thank all of you watching and remind you to go subscribe and turn on those notifications so you never miss a video.' While not extreme, it frames subscribing as necessary to avoid missing content, which can be seen as mild engagement baiting.

What Parents Need to Know

Parents should be aware that this video contains several sponsored mentions of the creator's 'Osmo' seasoning brand, which are integrated into the cooking demonstrations for the monkey, bear, and lion segments. While the content is otherwise wholesome and educational—teaching kids about animal diets, cooking techniques, and respect for wildlife—the product placements may prompt children to ask for the product. The video does not contain any violence, inappropriate language, or scary moments, and all animal interactions are supervised by professionals. Kids will learn fun facts about animals like porcupines, sloths, and gorillas, and see creative recipes like a fruit salad for a hippo and a kale salad for giraffes.

Talk to Your Kids About

  1. 1What was your favorite animal in the video, and what did you learn about what it eats?
  2. 2Why do you think the creator had to be careful around some animals, like the porcupine or the lion?
  3. 3The video showed a lot of different recipes. If you could cook a meal for any animal, what would you make and why?
  4. 4Did you notice the creator mentioned his own seasoning brand a few times? How do you think that affects the video?
  5. 5Why do you think the giraffes didn't like the kale salad, even though it was made specially for them?

What's This Video About?

Watch to the end to see me cook for a lion! Please read, because this is very important to me. Throughout this entire video, I worked with animal welfare experts and veterinarians to ensure that we only worked with the best animal habitats and fed the animals ingredients that already exist in their normal, everyday diets (as you’ll see, most dishes are simple and vegetable based). Many animals are mistreated around the world, so it was extremely important to me while making this video that we found organizations committed to giving the animals the best lives possible! The elephant sanctuary, for instance, rescues elephants that have been forced into some kind of heavy labor their entire lives and gives them a comfortable, safe, and happy retirement in the jungle for the rest of their lives. If you’re reading this, I’d highly encourage you to do your own research before visiting a zoo, aquarium, or anything similar to make sure they treat their animals humanely. I know nobody asked about any of this, but I think it’s important to use my platform to bring this to your attention since I learned a lot about animals while making this video.
