Can Watchly replace my homeschool curriculum?

No. Watchly organises YouTube video supplements into libraries. You choose whether a video supports the lesson and fits your child; Watchly is not a curriculum or a guarantee of educational quality.

Can siblings of different ages share a library?

Yes. Assign one library to multiple profiles when it suits both children, or create separate selections. For example, a six-year-old and a twelve-year-old can have different maths libraries.

Does Watchly work on a Chromebook?

Yes. Watchly runs in modern browsers on Chromebooks, Macs, Windows PCs, iPads and Android tablets. Try the family devices you plan to use during your trial.

Can I lock the device to one subject during school hours?

You can assign subject libraries to a child and keep discovery off for library-only viewing. This does not lock the device: use device-level controls to manage access to other websites or apps.

What happens if a creator we use uploads something inappropriate?

Review new videos before deciding to add them. Transcript findings help assess spoken content, but can miss context and visual details. If you enable discovery, videos meeting your rules can be added automatically; flagged requests wait for review.

Can a homeschool co-op share a library?

Families can share library contents with another Watchly account. Each family manages its own child profiles, assignments and rules.

Can I set time limits per subject?

Time limits apply per child profile, not per subject. You can also configure intermission breaks to create pauses during a viewing session.

Are videos really ad-free?

Watchly adds no ads of its own, but YouTube-served ads and creator sponsorships can remain. Its library controls and transcript reviews help you choose content; they do not guarantee ad-free playback.
